New Park at Woodward West Set To Open This Summer

Woodward West is proud to announce the design of a new 17,000 sqft concrete park which is replacing the Enterprise park.

The park designed by Nate Wessel in collaboration with Woodward West’s Skate and BMX directors, Neal Hendrix and park builder CA Skateparks and scheduled to be open in June of this year.

“With 2013 being the 10th Anniversary of Woodward West, the time has finally come to replace the legendary Enterprise park,” said Neal Hendrix, pro skateboarder and Woodward Brand Manager. “In it’s place, the new park is a really cool mix of technical street obstacles, surrounded by more of a flow style transition section. In addition, there is a new small bowl complex with 3 different depths that should be great learning tool for beginners. We’re all looking forward to seeing what goes down in the new park this summer.”

If you can, bring your bike.

Sometimes you don’t bring your bike, but you should always bring your bike.  Even if you don’t know a single person in that town.  Even if you think the weather’s gonna be shit.  Even if someone tells you to not bring your bike… BRING YOUR BIKE.  I decided not to bring mine and found this sweet piece of ace right next to where my lady is working.  Don’t terd like I did.  Bring that whip, and that lid.

RICK CONDRON’S BACKYARD
Rick has a sweet pump track going on in his backyard with more in the works as well.  Here’s what Rick had to say so far…

The yard is in Cedar Rapids, IA.  1 hour from Dubuque and Davenport.  In the next 2 months I will have some big dub lines built.  Place will be a Backyard Burner:)”

Looking forward to the progression of backyards!  Keep it up Rick. =)

Small Business Growing Strong

“As many of you know, my son Spencer was born with Eczema and a host of food allergies. He can’t eat any dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, or tree nuts. Since we’ve had a few years to deal with this, I’ve had a lot of time to join forums, do research and come up with a host of recipes that include breads, cakes, bagels, muffins, cookies, pizza, lasagna…you name it. As time progresses we’ve been contacted with so many people with some of or several of the same allergies. It’s my dream to start a “Spencer Friendly”, gluten-free, allergy-free bakery!”  -Mia Sexton
